At the heart of this vase sits a glass bottle, given a second life beneath layers of hand-sculpted clay. Our contribution to a circular way of making, where nothing useful is discarded.
The clay is built up and shaped by hand, painted with Derwent graphite paint from Keswick. The surface carries the marks of that process; ridges, texture, the movement of a hand working slowly. Purples and cool greys run through it like strata through stone, finished with a water-based sealer.
Made for dried flowers and botanicals. We recommend keeping it away from water and direct moisture to preserve both the clay surface and the seal.
