Driftstone Fell

At the heart of this piece sits a glass bottle, given a second life beneath layers of hand-sculpted clay. A small contribution to a circular way of making, where nothing useful is discarded.

Built up by hand, this is the largest of the three Driftstones, the Fell, and carries the same unhurried process across the whole family. Painted with Derwent graphite paint from Keswick, purples and cool greys running through the surface like strata through stone. Finished with a water-based sealer.

Made for dried flowers and botanicals. We recommend keeping it away from water and direct moisture to preserve both the clay surface and the seal.
